Bit of an effort to get up for that Sunday morning tee time? Trying to pluck up the energy to go up the range after work? Then have a read of this. Martin Thom plays twice a week at his local club, Long Prairie Golf Country Club. The course is par 72, and measures 6,302 yards. Nothing unusual here. Try this-Martin is 101 years old!." I used to be able to par this quite often, but not anymore" said Martin, who didnt pick up a golf club until he reached his sixties. He usually plays with two 'younger' friends, who are in their eighties. The three balls combined age is 272! "I like it" he says. "Some days I'm pretty good, other days not so good, but it's always fun". Mr Thom, we salute you.
