So it’s started. Major season continues with the US Open today with the boys from blighty getting off to a flier. Ian Poulter and Justin Rose were in early contention raising all of our hopes. Even more encouragingly GOLFPUNK diarist Nick Dougherty tops the leader board after round one. Little Nick (as he was dubbed at the Faldo series) has had a few good starts this year but seems to have taken a few Sunday’s off. Here’s hoping he can keep it up until the end of the weekend.
