Tiger Cool On Hockey

Can you believe it? The world’s best golfer isn’t into ice hockey!

Tiger dropped the bombshell to reporters that he had no preference when it comes to who captured the Stanley Cup, the Detroit Red Wings or Pittsburgh Penguins.

"I don't really care," he said. "Let's talk about the Dodgers.

"I don't think anybody really watches hockey any more."

Woodsy made the remark on a conference call promoting the PGA Championship in August at Oakland Hills Country Club in the Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Township.
It’s hard to see how this as news. Granted the golf tournament he was talking about is being held in Detroit, the home of the Red Wings, but other than that it’s a story about a bloke who is not into hockey.

What would have been newsworthy is if he’d been talking about an Open Championship at Hoylake the week Liverpool were in the Champions League final. If Eldrick said something crazy like, “I’m not that bovved who wins the big cup final. Nobody cares about football.”

That would be controversial.

Incidentally the Red Wings beat the Penguins 4-2 to win ice hockeys championship trophy.

For those who’d like to see how it went down click the image below.
