Office Golf Challenge
News has reached us of a golf tournament that Team GP may actually have a chance of winning. You can keep your long drives, save your skins and jog on with your trick shots. The only discipline we ‘ve got a hope in Stoke of doing well in is office golf.
St Sofia Golf Club and Spa hosted the final of the annual Office Golf Championship on 21st September and it sounded a blast. The event - sponsored by Chivas Regal – has grown since its inception in 2006. However we’re a little disappointed to find out that Office Golf Bulgaria-style seems to comprise of specially designed holes and is played outside. There aren’t many details out there about how it works, so in true Webitor style I’ve made stuff up to fill in the blanks.
We in the GP Towers are office golf nuts, whether it’s playing horse from behind the photocopier for who gets the teas in, or deconstructing our swings between emails. In fact, if there is any firm out there who think they could take us on in an office Olympics of chipping into bins, canning putts over uneven carpets or even restricted swing gymnastics, then bring it on.
It’s cracking fun and keeps you (a little bit) fit.
To challenge us to an office golf showdown email us at website@jf-media.co.uk
