Beware The Injured Golfer

After Padraig gingerly picked up the Claret jug (with one hand obviously) it got us thinking about the fate of the year’s major winners.

The Masters – Trevor Immelman: Recovers from back surgery, wins.
US Open – Tiger bags it with a busted knee and a broken leg. Mediate is runner up with a dodgy back. Westwood comes in third a week after having tonsillitis.
The Open Championship – Padraig Harrington goes back to back with a gammy wrist.
USPGA – We suggest Poulter and Donald challenge Peter Hedblom and Boo Weekley to a tag team wrestling match after the first practice round. The damage they’d undoubtedly suffer at their hands will see both the Englishmen in a playoff for the Wanamaker Trophy come Sunday.
